　　在“經(jīng)典短文背誦”部分中，我們根據(jù)短文的內(nèi)容將其分為10大類(lèi)。其實(shí)從文章功能來(lái)看，我們可把這10大類(lèi)文章歸為三種類(lèi)型：解決問(wèn)題、論證觀點(diǎn)、闡述現(xiàn)象。其中第一類(lèi)具有解決問(wèn)題功能的短文包括了：1、身體健康類(lèi)；2、職業(yè)道德類(lèi)；3、人口增長(zhǎng)類(lèi)；4、環(huán)境保護(hù)類(lèi)。第二類(lèi)具有論證觀點(diǎn)功能的短文包括了：5、情感類(lèi)；8、人生價(jià)值類(lèi)。第三類(lèi)具有闡述現(xiàn)象功能的短文包括了：6、文化交流類(lèi)；7、教育類(lèi)；9、家庭關(guān)系類(lèi)；10、社會(huì)熱點(diǎn)類(lèi)。需要說(shuō)明的是，以上分類(lèi)并不是具有絕對(duì)意義的，譬如一些身體健康類(lèi)的話題也可能適合以論證觀點(diǎn)的短文模板來(lái)套用。我們這里所說(shuō)的是指大致的分類(lèi)和適用范圍。
　　
　　除了以上三項(xiàng)功能，我們還將在本部分的最后列出兩個(gè)具有對(duì)比論證功能的模板。雖然自從1997 年以來(lái)的歷年短文題目中沒(méi)有出現(xiàn)要求進(jìn)行對(duì)比論證的話題，但是考生仍然應(yīng)該有所準(zhǔn)備，因?yàn)閷?duì)比論證是英文寫(xiě)作的一種重要寫(xiě)作手法，需要引起一定的重視。
　　
　　這種類(lèi)型的文章主要針對(duì)一些實(shí)際的問(wèn)題分析其原因和后果，最后提出解決的措施。一般情況下三段的分布為：第一段描述圖畫(huà)內(nèi)容，第二段分析問(wèn)題所在，第三段提出解決方案。
